Enrollment for the academic year 2026–2027 and payment of tuition fees for the autumn term 2026
Enrollment for the academic year 2026–2027 is mandatory for all degree students. This information concerns students who are not citizens of EU or EEA countries and who are required to pay tuition fees. The enrollment period is between 1.–31.5.2026.
The students who are required to pay tuition fees will enroll for the academic year by paying the tuition fee. The tuition fee for the autumn term (1 August–31 December) must be paid in advance during the previous academic term, during the general period for registering for the next academic year, which is 1–31 May. Once the student has paid the tuition fee, they will be registered as attending for the entire academic year by Student Services.
After mid-April, the students will receive a Flywire payment link for the payment of autumn term tuition fee by email. The link will be sent by Student Services. The payment due date is 31 May 2026.
NB! If the student has a residence permit exempting them from the tuition fee, the document proving this must be submitted to Student Services by the payment due date, 31 May 2026. Enrollment is mandatory for all degree students, and registration for the courses is not sufficient. The payment of the tuition fee must be made during the enrollment period.

Neglecting to enroll leads to losing your study right. If you lose your study right, the handling fee for the application for regranting your study right is €50.
Please find more information about applying for regranting your study right at Student’s Guide.
Student whose study entitlement period is about to expire
When a student's study entitlement period (the normative study time + 1 extra academic year) is about to expire, the student may apply for a discretionary extension to complete their studies. You can apply for a discretionary extension in AINI service https://aini.eduplan.fi/ (application time starts on April).
