Events and Groups – Autumn Semester 2025
MetroSport Buddy tour
Hi student participating in MetroSport,
Are you coming to MetroSport? Would you like to join, but don’t have a group to go around with? This year you have the chance to experience MetroSport with a Buddy Tour!
What is MetroSport?
- Töölö Sports Hall, Paavo Nurmen kuja 1C, 00350 Helsinki
- Thursday 10 September 2026, 13:00–18:00
- Free ticket 0E / Sporttipassi €4
- At the event you can try different sports and physical activities and get to know organisations that promote well-being in the Helsinki metropolitan area together with thousands of fellow students
- More information about MetroSport
What is a Buddy Tour?
A Buddy Tour guide is a staff member from Metropolia’s student well-being services or chaplains, who gathers a small group in the lobby to explore the event together. The idea is that no one has to be at the event alone – and you might make some new friends along the way.
A Buddy Tour is for you if:
- you are coming to MetroSport alone or would just like some company
- you’d like to meet new students in a relaxed way
- you want to hear more about student well-being services or chaplaincy at Metropolia
How does it work?
Buddy Tour groups depart from the Kisahalli lobby at:
- 13:30 in Finnish
- 14:00 in English
- 14:30 in Finnish
- 15:00 in English
- 15:30 in Finnish
- 16:00 in English
For each departure time, a small group of interested students is formed. First you’ll briefly get to know each other, and then you’ll visit together about six pre-selected activity points at MetroSport. After the tour you can continue at the event either together or on your own – however feels best for you.
How to find the Buddy Tour
- Come to the Kisahalli lobby a little before the departure time
- Look for Buddy Tour signs or staff with a clear identifier (e.g. a Buddy Tour badge or vest)
- Sign up on the spot – no advance registration is needed.
The Buddy Tour is free of charge, voluntary and easy to join. You can join just as you are: you don’t need to be a super athlete, super outgoing, or “super” anything.
You are warmly welcome to join a tour – let’s make sure everyone has a good time at MetroSport!
