How and when do you receive your student number

Your student number is generated once you have accepted your study place and have been registered in Metropolia’s student register. The student number is a unique 7-digit identifier.

You can see your student number when you log in to your Student Desktop in OMA. You can also find your student number in your personal information in the Tuudo app.

What is the student number needed for

The student number is required by many Metropolia systems. It serves as your personal identification number, and you may be asked to provide it, for example, when applying for student exchange or other international opportunities.

How to use your student number

• Each of your study rights gets its own student number.
• You may have more than one student number.
• Always use your student number when requested. It is a good idea to memorize your student number.
