BIP - Blended Intensive Programmes

Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme, BIP, combines physical mobility with virtual learning. Students can benefit from this short-term (5-30 days) blended mobility in the Erasmus+ programme countries. Each BIP carries a minimum 3 ECTS. The BIP programmes are targeted especially for students, who are not able to participate long-term exchanges. However, all degree students can apply to these programmes.

You can receive more information about the upcoming possibilities by following the OMA announcements of your degree programme.

Students are responsible for all practical arrangements and costs regarding the physical mobility period (eg. travel, accommodation, living). An Erasmus+ grant covers part of the costs incurred. BIP short-term student or training mobility must include a virtual component, however the grant can only be received for the physical programme part in the host country.

Typically BIP courses include 5 days in the host country and usually students travel to the host country and back to Finland during the weekends. Additionally you can expect to participate to the online part before and/or after the exchange abroad.

Erasmus+ grant for students participating a BIP intensive course:

  • 79 € / programme day (1-14 days)  and 50 €/day (15-30 days) + 0-6 travel days if needed.

    • If you choose green travel, you may receive the daily grant according to the actual duration.
