Welcome Hub warmly welcomes all international students to Metropolia and Finland!
Metropolia Welcome Hub - Easy Start in Metropolia, Helsinki Metropolitan Area and Finland
Metropolia Welcome Hub is a new guidance center for international students, offering support and answers to common questions about studying at Metropolia and living in Finland. Welcome Hub provides guidance and organizes information sessions and events to help international students succeed in their studies and build a good life in Finland.
Metropolia Welcome Hub will be launched during the MetGO event on October 2nd, 2025. The service point will officially open its doors on Monday, October 6th at 13:00 o'clock.
Location: Myllypuro Campus, 2nd floor, next to Student and Applicant Services
Opening hours: Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 13:00 to 16:00.
At the Welcome Hub, you can get guidance on topics such as:
- dealing with public authorities
- housing and city services
- services for families with children
- settling into your new life in Finland

- November 26th on Arabia campus: 10.30-14.30 in the main entrance lobby

Are you a student who joined a bit later in the semester? We’re organizing three special info sessions designed just for you. The sessions will help you catch up on everything you need to know — from campus services and student life to important contacts and upcoming events.
Pre-Holiday Get-Together Events for International Students
Take a break, relax, and get into the holiday spirit together with other Metropolians!
Join us for Christmas card crafting, gingerbread decorating, glögi, and a cozy festive atmosphere. You’ll have a chance to meet new people, enjoy Christmas music, and unwind before the holidays. Bring a friend along!
Note! The Myllypuro get-together on Dec 3rd is especially organized for international students with families. There will be kids’ Christmas activities: obstacle course, Christmas quiz, and a cozy movie moment.
