Meal Subsidy Card in Tuudo

Kela (The Social Insurance Institution of Finland) provides meal subsidies for students. The Kela meal subsidy means you get a discount on your meal at participating student restaurants. You can get a discounted meal by showing the pink Kela meal subsidy card in the Tuudo app.

International degree and exchange students at Metropolia are entitled to a student discount in subsidised student restaurants and cafeterias.

If you, for some reason, do not use Tuudo but are completing studies that entitle you to subsidised meals, your higher education institution is responsible for issuing you a meal subsidy card. You can find the contact details of Student Services here.

Instructions on the meal benefit for Open UAS students are available on the Open UAS website.

Higher education students are entitled to a discount on the price of a student meal in restaurants covered by the meal subsidy scheme. You can receive the meal subsidy for one meal per day. You can look up participating restaurants on Kela’s website.

More information about the meal subsidy is available on Kela’s website.
