Introducing the New Monthly Newsletter for International Students at Metropolia 

We are launching a new monthly newsletter for international students at Metropolia. The newsletter brings together events, services, and useful information to support your: 

  • studies and everyday life in Finland
  • wellbeing as a student
  • career planning and job search 

To receive this newsletter directly to your email in the future, please join the workspace “News for International Students". 

By joining the workspace, you will receive the monthly newsletter and can also revisit previous issues anytime. You can leave the workspace at any time if you no longer wish to receive the newsletter.   • Myllypuro Campus, room MPC2002, opening hours Wednesdays at 13:00-15:00
  • Karamalmi Campus, 5th floor lobby, opening hours Tuesdays at 11:00-13:00 (starting on Feb 3rd)

Community, Networking and Belonging

Would you like to get to know more Finnish and international students? Join the Friends Program!

The Friends Program brings together Finnish and international students – it’s all about meeting, making friends, and enjoying a relaxed time with people from different cultures. We meet once a month for various activities: relaxing, chatting, sharing a meal, and having fun together! The program continues throughout the academic year, and you can join at any time. The main language of the program is English, but communicating in other languages is also welcome.

Register to the Friends Programme with this form and you will receive more information about upcoming events, such as Winter Garden visit (24.1.), Sledding Trip (12.2.) and Campus Family day (14.3.)! The Friends Program Team looks forward to seeing as many Friends as possible in the events!

Join panel discussion on effective networking strategies in job searching

SIMHE-Metropolia (Supporting Immigrants in Higher Education) and association Bloom Finland (The bridge between internationals and locals) invite you to a panel discussion on effective networking strategies in job searching. Events supporting your wellbeing

Metropolia’s Student Wellbeing Services organise various events to support the wellbeing of higher education students. These events promote health, study ability, and support for learning difficulties.   • At Myyrmäki campus (C-building, by the restaurant) from 11 to 13 on the following Wednesdays: 27.1 | 10.2. | 3.3.
