New 'Life in Finland' Workshops for International Students
Life in Finland Workshops is a new six-part workshop series designed for international students who have recently moved to Finland.
The sessions offer practical guidance, shared discussions and a supportive environment for learning about Finnish culture, everyday life, studying and working in Finland.
The aim of the series is to help students feel more settled, confident and connected — both at Metropolia, the Helsinki region and in Finland.
The workshops provide space to talk about the experience of adjusting to a new country, explore Finnish society and values, and gain tools for well-being, study skills and future career development.
This initiative is part of Metropolia’s wider efforts to strengthen inclusion, equal support and the overall well-being of international students.
The workshops are based on the Finnish Civic Orientation (Yhteiskuntaorientaatio) study materials and facilitated by Welcome Hub in collaboration with Metropolia International Relations, Career Services and Student Wellbeing Services.
