Student Union
Metropolia students have many ways to influence and make a difference. If you are interested in student activity, you can apply to become a member of METKA’s Representative Council or Board. As a Representative Council or Board member, you will be able to influence matters concerning all Metropolia students. If you are more interested in influencing matters specific to your field or campus, you can apply to join your own student association.
You can influence the content of your own degree as a student representative. Every year, METKA appoints dozens of student representatives to degree programmes’ advisory councils. In addition, Metropolia has several other working groups, such as OTY work groups for study support, where you can influence the overall well-being of students.
The student voice is also needed on committees. The Board of Examiners deals with cases related to grade rectifications, for example. The Legal Protection Committee deals with matters related to student intake and additional study time, for example.
