Getting a Grip on Summer Studies -Peer Group starts soon

Are you planning to study over the summer? Do you need peer support for working through the heat? Welcome to Getting a Grip on Summer Studies peer group. During the group you can make progress with your summer studies or finish off any pending assignments from the spring semester.

In the meetings, we will reflect on themes such as planning and scheduling your studies, study techniques, and challenges with getting things done. In addition, time is set aside in every meeting to work on your own task. Through peer discussion and practical exercises, you’ll gain tools for developing your study skills and planning your work, as well as support for completing your summer studies.

The group meets online four times on Thursday mornings from 9:15 to 11:00, on May 21, May 28, June 4, and June 11. We hope you can commit to attending all sessions. For those who are interested, a follow-up meeting will also be offered on August 13, when we can revisit the goals set at the beginning of the summer. The group sessions are interactive—please make sure you have a working microphone and video connection.

Registration is open until Mon, May 18 at 3:00 pm and is done via the following form. Please note that the language of the group is Finnish. However, you are welcome to complete the exercises in English during the sessions. The group can accommodate 15 students, and it will run if at least 6 people register. The group will be facilitated by study coach Hanna-Maaria Saarinen.

Let’s make progress with summer studies together!
