For matters related to student financial aid, you can contact both Kela and Metropolia’s student financial aid services.
You can apply for student financial aid from Kela. Financial aid is available in the form of:
- study grant
- including a provider supplement if applicable
- government guarantee for a student loan
- housing supplement.
You can find information about student financial aid on Kela’s website, which also includes details about other study-related benefits such as the meal subsidy.
Social assistance can also help cover essential daily expenses if your income is very low. However, you must first apply for all other benefits you may be eligible for, such as the study grant, student loan, and housing supplement.
