Blessed Buttocks Sports Event on Wednesday, October 28
What happens when exercise meets a little bit of humor on All Saints’ Day Week? At the very least, your glutes get a good workout. Welcome to Blessed Buttocks, a fun and approachable glute-focused workout session for free of charge! The event is open to everyone studying or working at Metropolia and you are welcome to join just as you are.
The class is led alternately by University Chaplain Hanna, Metropolia’s Study Psychologist Volkan and Head Sports Planner Linda. Hanna is also a qualified physiotherapist, Volkan is a psychologist and Linda is a certified group exercise instructor. The class will be instructed in both Finnish and English. The same 30-minute workout will be offered twice in a row, so you can choose the time slot and language that suits you best.
The class includes:
- a gentle warm-up
- glute-focused strength exercises
- a relaxing cool-down
The workout combines simple foundational movements with exercises that gently challenge balance, mobility, and body awareness. You can work at your own pace, and some exercises can be adapted or modified when needed.
Whether you're chasing peachy glutes or simply looking for a fun way to move, this session might be just your thing. No previous experience is required. After the workout, you might also want to take advantage of the campus sauna and enjoy a moment of relaxation.
