Grants for work placement abroad
- The grant is a travel grant that requires physical travel to the placement location. The placement cannot take place in the country of your current residence.
- The grant depends on the length of the placement period, credits awarded, and host country.
- Please note that you cannot receive funding from more than one source for a single work placement (eg. Metropolia grant, EU- or Finnish National for Education (EDUFI) funded programmes).
- You can receive Erasmus+ funding even if you receive salary or other perks during the placement. Metropolia informs Finnish Tax authorities about grantees and sums.
It is your responsibility to cover and check all costs for the placement abroad such as accommodation and living, travel, supervision fees, insurance, visa and vaccinations, all other costs.
You will apply for the grant at the same time as you prepare the Learning Agreement for Traineeship/Placement in the Mobility-Online system.
