Would you like more support for your studies, new perspectives on managing everyday life, or peer support from fellow students?
Metropolia Student Wellbeing Services regularly organizes various groups where you can support your study ability, study skills, and overall wellbeing in a safe and encouraging atmosphere.

Who are the groups for?
For all Metropolia students – whether you’re just starting your studies, close to graduation, or simply in need of some extra energy in your daily life.
Choose the group that best fits your needs. Please note that some groups are in Finnish.
How to join?
Groups are organized during the semester on different themes.

Getting a Grip on University Studies
Do you need support in honing your study skills? Do you struggle with exam preparation or getting started with assignments? This group helps you strengthen useful academic skills and find a study approach that supports your wellbeing.
Group 1 – in Finnish
- When: Wednesday afternoons 14:00–15:45 online, 4 sessions: 10.9., 17.9., 24.9., 1.10

Group 2 – in English
- When: Thursday afternoons 14:00–15:45 online, 4 sessions: 16.10., 23.10., 6.11., 13.11.
- Registration: Getting a Grip on University Studies, Implementation 2 (forms.office.com)
Getting a Grip on Concentration
Do you find it difficult to concentrate on studying, independent tasks, or lectures? Does your mind wander distractingly? This group supports you in revitalizing your concentration, protecting your focus, and strengthening memory in your studies.
Group 1 – in Finnish
- When: Tuesday afternoons 14:30–16:00 online, 4 sessions: 2.9., 9.9., 23.9., 7.10
- Note! The time of the first meeting has been rescheduled. The first meeting will only take place on 9 September. There is still room to join the group.

Group 2 – in English
- When: Tuesday afternoons 14:30–16:00 online, 4 sessions: 21.10., 28.10., 11.11., 25.11.

Getting a Grip on Your Thesis
Do you need peer support while working on your thesis and handling the emotions that come with it? Is your thesis stuck? This group offers support for progressing with your thesis and overcoming writer’s block.
Group 1 – in Finnish
- When: Tuesday mornings 8:30–10:00 online, 4 sessions: 21.10., 4.11., 18.11., 2.12.
- Registration opens 7.10. according to the instructions in the published announcement and in the Student's Guide: Groups to support study skills
Math Corner
Do you need help with mathematics? Or would you simply like to chat about math and the support available? Come visit the Math Corner and discuss with a special education teacher!
Math Corners in campus libraries from Monday to Thursday during lunchtime 11:00–13:00.
