MetGO brought the community together at the Arabia Campus

On Wednesday 23 September, the Arabia Campus was filled with music, meaningful encounters and a strong sense of community as students and staff gathered to celebrate MetGO, the opening event of the academic year. The day offered an opportunity to explore Metropolia’s activities, discover what the community has to offer and, above all, spend time together. 

Music filled four stages across the Arabia Campus

Music played a central role throughout the event. The programme featured student-performed R&B and classical music, communal singing and energetic performances on the main stage. The diverse programme created a vibrant atmosphere and provided memorable experiences throughout the afternoon. 

There was plenty to experience on campus

A wide range of stands brought together student organisations, services and other members of the university community. The exhibition area showcased student projects from different fields, and visitors could also capture memories of the day at the Photobooth.

The best part of MetGO was the people

The event offered an opportunity to meet fellow Metropolians, catch up with one another and strengthen the sense of community. Throughout the day, the Arabia Campus reflected what makes Metropolia unique: an active, multidisciplinary and inclusive community. 

A big thank you to all students, staff members, performers, stand exhibitors and organisers. Once again, you made MetGO a successful and community-oriented start to the academic year.
