A four-day working week trial has begun at METKA

METKA has started a trial of the 4-day workweek this week. In principle, both the specialists (employees of METKA) and the Board will work from Monday through Thursday.

The four-day workweek is already in use at other student unions in the Helsinki metropolitan area, and now METKA is also trying it out. The goal is to improve well-being and make it easier to balance work and free time.

According to numerous trials and studies, the 4-day workweek has had nothing but positive effects on well-being, and work productivity has not declined.

The trial will run until November 27, after which a decision will be made on whether to make the 4-day workweek permanent. The trial may affect how quickly messages are responded to.
