Presenting the criminal records extract in the field of Health Care and Social Services
The student orders the criminal records extract because working with minors is an essential part of work placements and learning in working life. The extract is valid for six months and it has to be presented to the Student and Admission Services in Myllypuro within these six months.
The student orders the extract from the Legal Register Centre online and presents it at the Myllypuro's Student and Admission Services (not in another campus or at the work placement) according to this guidance.
It is also possible to present a electronic extract from the laptop or phone screen. Student can order the electronic extract in e-services. More information in https://asiointi.oikeus.fi/ork-kansalaisille. (e-service is in Finnish language)
It is also possible to send the criminal records extract to Student and Admission Services by email studentservices [at] metropolia.fi (studentservices[at]metropolia[dot]fi). Student must use Metropolia email. Student Services do not store the extracts.
It's not possible to present a photo, copy or scanned version of the extract. Please do not send the extract by post to the Student and Admission Services.
Exchange students can present an extract from their home country, translated into English. The translation can be in the same document or as a separate document.
Please note
If a student do not present the criminal records extract in given deadline, the work placement reservation or agreed work placement will be canceled.
These instructions concern all Metropolia students despite the study mode. Also students who has been accepted through transfer application must present the criminal records extract according guidance.
The criminal records extract which has been provided for employer is also valid but the extract´s date of issue can't be older than six months.
More accurate timetables for presenting the extract, will be given to each student group separately.
