Second Hand Days at Metropolia Campuses on 28.9.–2.10.2026

Let's recycle together - Second Hand Days are coming!

Mark the event days in your calendar and come by to hunt for second-hand treasures or to give away items you no longer use. The event follows a bring-and-take principle, meaning you can bring your own unused items to be reused or find something new for yourself—no money involved. The Second hand Day event is for all Metropolia employees and students.

The event is organized in collaboration with students from Live Vocational College, and it will tour all campuses during the week.

Event schedule and locations by campus:

Mon 28.9. Myyrmäki: Megora, B-wing, 1st floor

Tue 29.9. Karamalmi: C201, 2. floor, main lobby

Wed 30.9. Arabia: Main lobby, 1st floor

Thu–Fri 1.–2.10. Myllypuro: Public lobby MPC1504

Event time daily: 10:00–14:00

Possibility to bring your items one week beforehand!
Bring the items to info desk of your campus

Accepted items (must be clean and intact):

• Clothes, accessories, and shoes
• Dishes and kitchenware
• Home textiles
• Sports and hobby equipment

Items not accepted:

• Furniture or other large items
• Books
• Electrical appliances/electronics
• Children's clothes or toys
• (Ultra)fast fashion

Bring responsibly:

Please bring a reasonable amount of items that are in good condition and intact. Only bring items you would be happy to use yourself. Organizers will inspect items and may limit the quantity if needed. We aim to find a new home for all items. Any remaining items will be delivered to a recycling center after the event.
