The chats are organised on agreed Thursdays from 5 to 7 p.m. Mark the autumn chat dates in your calendar already now and come online to share thoughts with other students! By clicking the chat title below, you can get more information about that particular chat.

LGBTQIA+ in Higher Education peer support sessions
Welcome to join our English-speaking online safer space hangout!
Hangout is for international LGBTIQA+ students in higher education, and we wish to share the queer joy among every one of you. Hangout is an ideal place to discuss about experiences of minority stress as an international LGBTQIA+ student and share your heart and mind with others.
Student life can be hard but let us all enjoy it with while it lasts – while spreading love and acceptance around us!
Can You Hear Us? Can You See Us? – Queer Students in Higher Education
As part of the QueerMieli project by Nyyti ry, we are collecting student stories during our autumn campaign to support our educational and advocacy work. The aim is to shed light on the experiences of LGBTQIA+ students and increase awareness of minority stress and its impact on well-being.
Your story can take shape as a comic, a drawing, a poem, perhaps a watercolor painting or something else.
Your story can be big or small, everyday or detailed, abstract or straightforward... Every story is an important gateway to conversations about equality, inclusion, and the effects of minority stress on well-being within the higher education community. You are warmly welcome to share your creative story with us!
As part of the student story campaign, we are organising workshops. The last workshop will be held on 7 November online on Zoom. Stories created or inspired during these workshops can be submitted for publication during the campaign or kept private as part of your personal creative process. The workshop follows Nyyti’s safer space principles.
Among those who share their story, we will raffle a €100 gift card to the sateenkaarikauppa.fi.
