MetGO Kicks Off the Academic Year at the Arabia Campus on 23 September

Metropolia’s academic year opening event, MetGO, welcomes all students and staff to the Arabia Campus on Wednesday, 23 September 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

At the event, you can get to know Metropolia’s communities, services and student activities, meet fellow Metropolians, and enjoy a diverse programme of culture and music across the campus. MetGO is open to all Metropolia students and staff and offers a particularly great opportunity for first-year students to connect with others and become part of the Metropolia community.

At the event area, you can visit exhibition stands hosted by various organisations and student communities, and complete an activity passport. Those who return their completed passport will receive an exclusive MetGO overall patch.

No registration is required.

Programme on Multiple Stages

Main Stage

The Main Stage programme includes a welcome address from Metropolia leadership, the presentation of the Ratkaisija Award, and several musical performances throughout the afternoon. The stage will also feature singer and Metropolia alumna Klaara Koivunen.

Klubi 

The Club Stage showcases R&B performances by Metropolia students as part of their studies.

Kammari 

Kammari offers classical music performances by Metropolia students.

Monttustage 

Monttu Stage hosts a community sing-along open to both students and staff, providing a relaxed opportunity to enjoy music together.

Student Work on Display 

Visitors can explore an exhibition featuring student projects from a variety of disciplines, including animation, graphic design, digital design, textile design, interior architecture and industrial design.
