Students’ Mental Health Week at Metropolia
Students’ Mental Health Week will be held in 2026 during week 11, from March 9th to 15th.
Students’ Mental Health Week (nyyti.fi) is a campaign coordinated by the Student Wellbeing Network (nyyti.fi), which aims to raise awareness about the mental health status of students and promote a more mental health-friendly study culture. Communications for the campaign are coordinated by Nyyti ry (nyyti.fi). Metropolia will also be actively celebrating Students’ Mental Health Week—join any program or planning activity that interests you!
This year's theme is future hope: we highlight the voices, everyday experiences and shared hope of students for tomorrow. Mental Health Week is a perfect opportunity to find peer support, get new ideas for your wellbeing, and strengthen both your own coping skills and our student culture. All events are free of charge and open to all Metropolia students – you are warmly welcome!
What happens at OMTV campus events?
At OMTV events across Metropolia campuses, you’ll have the chance to explore a variety of mental health and wellbeing services, organizations and activities in a relaxed atmosphere. At the stands, you can meet experts and fellow students, try wellbeing activities, take part in fun challenges, and get concrete tips for your everyday life. Workshops, friendly competitions, treats, and the opportunity to collaboratively build our shared hope for the future are also included.
Main shared activities
- Future Hope Bingo: Take part in bingo during the events – the first 100 participants at each campus will receive a Mental Health Champion overall badge. Collect your bingo card from the Student Wellbeing Services stand.
- Future Hope Walls: Share your own hopes, dreams, and empowering thoughts about the future on the wall.
- Move to Campus! Arrive at your campus by walking, cycling or otherwise moving actively for at least part of your journey – the first 80 students on each campus will be rewarded with a chocolate bar at the Student Wellbeing Services stand at OMTV campus events from 11am to 2pm.
