The supplementary application round for the student representatives is now open: apply to your degree’s advisory council 2026!
The supplementary application round for the student representatives is now open! The student representative acts as the student’s voice in Metropolia. As a student representative, you do not need previous experience. All you need is to be a student in a degree program in question! Advisory councils usually meet 1-4 times a year, so the position does not take up much time. At its best, however, it can be a very effective way to influence your degree and create networks for your future career. As a student representative, you do not have to commit to other METKA activities, and you do not have to be a member of METKA. It is possible to apply for credits for the activity. If you wish, you can also get a certificate.
METKA wishes that students from different fields and classes in Metropolia apply for the open positions. The application period for the degree advisory councils is ongoing from February 2nd to October 31st, 2026. The application round includes those positions of the degree advisory councils that were not filled in the first application round. Please check the open positions in the election announcement.
Each degree in Metropolia has an advisory council. They maintain the connection between work life and the UAS and act as an expert in teaching in this field. The advisory council covers issues such as curriculum reforms. Only students of the given field may apply to their respective advisory councils.
