INTERNATIONAL STUDENT - How to Build Smart Networks (IMIB workshop)

Date and time: Thu 19.3. at 15:00 - 16:30
Location: Metropolia, Myllypuro Campus, Myllypuro. Myllypurontie 1, Helsinki. D-Building, Myllypuro-sali (MPD 1002)

This workshop is designed for international students and jobseekers:

Stop thinking of networking as a chore and start seeing it as your greatest career asset.

Many people think networking is just about exchanging business cards or "selling yourself." In reality, it is about building meaningful, mutually beneficial relationships. This 90-minute interactive workshop is designed to take the mystery out of networking and give you the confidence to start building your own professional community today.

What’s in it for you?

This isn't a lecture—it’s a laboratory. You will spend the majority of the session talking, practicing, and reflecting. By the end of this workshop, you will:

  • Redefine Networking: Understand what it actually means in a modern professional context.
  • Practice in Real-Time: Test different ways to introduce yourself and start conversations in a relaxed, low-pressure environment.
  • Unlock Hidden Opportunities: Learn how a strong network speeds up your job search and integration into working life.
  • Walk Away with a Plan: Create a personal "Next Step" roadmap so you know exactly what to do the moment you leave the room.
