Instructions for Metropolia students

From this page, you will find instructions for cross-institutional studies at another higher education institution.

As a present-degree student, exchange student, or Open UAS path student at Metropolia, you can also acquire knowledge and skills from other higher education institutions. You can select studies from another institution’s offerings according to the agreement between the institutions. This means that you can register for studies at another Finnish higher education institution in OMA during the registration period, provided that the studies can be included in your degree.

Please note that as an Open UAS path student, you are currently unable to register for cross-institutional study offerings in OMA. Instead, registration for studies at other institutions is done either through the destination institution’s Open University of Applied Sciences or by other means agreed upon by the institutions for the relevant cross-institutional study network’s offerings.

More information about cross-institutional study opportunities for Metropolia’s Open UAS path students is provided later this page.

Proceed as follows:

  1. Explore the cross-institutional study offerings in OMA through eHOPS. You can filter the offerings, for example, by institution or cross-institutional study network.
  2. Approve the studies you are interested in within your degree programme. Not all study offerings may be included in your degree.
  3. Ensure that you have a valid study right and are enrolled as present for the entire duration of the studies you plan to take. You can only study as a present student.
  4. Register for the course at the other higher education institution.
  5. Participate in the course according to the instructions.
  6. Once the teacher has evaluated your course performance at the host institution, the evaluation will automatically be transferred to your Metropolia studies.
