Welcome to the Final Event of the Future Hospitality Challenge on 29 January 2026

The Future Hospitality Challenge is an innovation competition organized by Metropolia SmartLab, seeking creative green tech solutions for the future of hospitality services. The challenge encourages competitors to create solutions that combine hospitality services, local businesses and sustainable technologies into one clear and practical solution. The judges include representatives from ABB, Samsung, Skanska, Omena Hotels and Elo Mutual Pension Insurance Company.

The Future Hospitality Challenge will conclude with a final event on Thursday, 29 January 2026, held at Metropolia’s Myllypuro campus, Myllypuro Hall. During the event, five teams will present their ideas through short pitches, followed by feedback from the judges. The final event will be hosted by futurist and author Perttu Pölönen. After the pitches, the program continues with networking at the Myllypuro Showroom with DJ music and light refreshments.

The final event is open to everyone, and advance registration is required. Metropolia’s students are welcome to attend and experience the ideas and presentations live.
