OMA update 17 February 2026 (OMA out of use from Tuesday 17 February at 1 pm)
Oma will be updated to its latest version 5.4.0 at the date and time indicated in the title. We have endeavoured to schedule the interruption for a time (week 8) that will cause as little inconvenience as possible to the normal operation of our organisation. The update will take place from the time specified in the title throughout Tuesday afternoon.
The update will also affect other services directly connected to OMA, such as
- Tuudo
- Wihi
- Graduation and withdrawal system
- Lukkarikone
- Course feedback
- hakija.metropolia.fi, etc.
During the interruption, it will still be possible to log in to other Metropolia services such as
- Moodle
- Workstations
- Password change
- HR system
A more detailed update bulletin about the contents of the update will be provided in the week following the update. In the meantime, here are a few excerpts from the upcoming new features/fixes:
- The Student Dashboard will undergo a significant update in its visual appearance, together with accessibility improvements
- The colouring of the studies outside the PSP element will be changed for greater distinction
- Enabling the adoption of workload-based education
- The largest of the changes and renewals is a completely new Applicant Dashboard (for Open Application and similar offerings)
- Functionality enhancements for messages in RPL applications
- The clarity of the teaching groups view in implementation has been improved
- Fixes related to the “Accept selected, transfer parts” functionality
